Erika Taylor Schrade is a former[1] dance student at Candy Apple's Dance Center. She had been dancing at the CADC since she was three years old.[2]

In Dance Moms
She competed against Brooke in the episode Return of the Candy Apples. However, she was disqualified because Cathy lied about her age to put her in directly against Brooke. Erika is usually the center of the Candy Apple's group dances.
In The Recital to End All Recitals, Erika accompanies a few other Candy Apples to the Abby Lee Dance Company recital.
Other information
- Her dance "Palladio" was first at the Myrtle Beach Starbound competition filmed for the episode Revenge of the Candy Apples. The same dance had previously finished first at two KAR competitions in Columbus.[3][4] The dance was never shown on Dance Moms, but a video from KAR can be seen here.
- Kerisa has said on Twitter that when the judges found out Erika was in the wrong age division, she was not disqualified but moved up to the correct one and received first place.[5] It is unknown if this is completely true as Erika is not listed on the results of the competition.[6]
- She had her braces taken off on August 16, 2012.[7][8]
- On May 6, 2013, she announced on Twitter that she has gone back to dancing, according to a tweet that reads, "Feels nice to have a leotard and tights on again".
- Erika maintained a 4.0 GPA during her sophomore and junior years in high school, and was crowned Constitution Queen in her hometown during the fall of 2013.[9][10]
- Her nickname with Sarah Parish was "Sarika."
