Gavin Scott Morales (born October 3, 2004) was a guest dancer for Candy Apple's Dance Center in Season 4/5 as well as a guest at JC's Broadway Dance Academy in Season 6. Gavin's sister is McKenzie Morales.
Like the rest of his family, Gavin has lived in Fresno, but their current studio is The Rage, located in Los Angeles.
Gavin has won several national and regional dance titles, most notably Mini Male Best Dancer in 2015 at The Dance Awards in Las Vegas.[8][9]
Gavin has recently been seen on So You Think You Can Dance: The Next Generation (Season 13).
On Dance Moms
Season 4
- In Chloe vs. Kendall: Round 2, he was in the group dance "Wild Party" that placed 2nd.
- In Blame It on the New Girl, he was in the group "The Last Dance" but Cathy had pulled dance before they went on stage. But he performed solo "Better When You're There" and placed 1st.
- In Decisions Decisions, "The Last Dance" was performed and placed 2nd.
- In Kiss or Get Off the Pot, he was in the group dance "Conspiracy", which placed 2nd.
- In The Understudies, he participated in the group dance "The Love Letter" which placed 4th overall.
- In Hollywood Here We Come, Part 1, he participated in the ALDC vs. CADC dance off at Hollywood and Highland.
- In Hollywood Here We Come, Part 2, he was in the group dance "Chandelier" that placed 5th overall.
Season 5
- In Abby Got Served, he had a brief cameo.
- In Hello Hollywood, Goodbye Abby, Gavin had a solo that he competed with The Rage. He placed 1st in the Petite Division and 3rd overall behind Maddie and Kalani. He also participated in the group dance with The Rage and it placed 3rd overall behind Murrieta Dance Project and ALDC. Neither his solo nor the group dance were shown.
- In The New Maddie?, he performed in the group dance "Torn" which placed 2nd. This was the final episode Gavin will appear as a guest dancer for CADC.
Season 6
- In New Season, New Rules he was brought in along with his sister and performed with BDA.
Other information
- Gavin's favorite dance trick is a front aerial (c.2012).[10]
- He loves being a boy dancer because he is always surrounded by pretty girls.
- When he isn't dancing, he enjoys riding roller coasters, going swimming, and having a lot of fun.
- Before dancing, Gavin did gymnastics, soccer, and baseball.
- He is inspired by Sean Lew and Brandon Chang.[11]
- In September 2014, Gavin was reportedly working on a music video for Swedish recording artist Jasmine Kara.[12]
- Gavin's sister McKenzie introduced him to dancing.[13]
- He would love to do a duet with Sophia Lucia.[14]
- Gavin, along with his sister, was invited to be a guest performed at the prestigious Gala de Danza in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. He performed along side the world's most prestigious professional dancers including Misty Copeland, Brooklyn Mack, Marcelino Sambe, Qi Haun, and Gillian Murphy.
- Gavin has been featured in Starbound Magazine, Dance Spirit Magazine and Cinnamagic Magazine.
- He made a co-star appearance on Nickelodeon's "See Dad Run."
- Gavin began dancing when he was six years old.[15]
