"Melissa's Announcement" is the fifteenth episode of the sixth season of Dance Moms. It first aired April 12, 2016.
Synopsis
Abby's whole world is shattered when Melissa shares shocking news that will change the face of the ALDC forever. But with the ALDC competing three duets and an epic group number inspired by the new blockbuster film, The Huntsman: Winter's War, there is little time to spend mending Abby's broken heart.[2]

- Maddie and Mackenzie are the leads in the group dance with Maddie playing the Fire Queen and Mackenzie as the Ice Queen.
- Universal paid for the costumes and the music for the group dance as it was being used to promote The Huntsman: Winter's War.
- There was a mix up in the program. Maddie's duet with Kendall was actually "Girl Interrupted" and Maddie's duet with Kalani was "Unbreak My Heart".
- There was only 67 routines entered at the competition.
- February 2: Kalani did a photoshoot for her dance wear collection with Purple Pixies.
