"Nia Saves The Day" is the ninth episode of the sixth season of Dance Moms. It first aired March 1, 2016.

Synopsis

It's a week of duets for the ALDC junior elite team with Brynn and Maddie going up against Kalani and Kendall. But when Kalani's back injury starts to act up and Kira is not there to help, Melissa and the other moms have to step in and do what's right for her. Later, with Kira absent and the original moms distracted, Ashlee takes the opportunity to fill in for Abby's newly fired office manager causing more drama with the other moms.

• There was a location change of the competition venue. It was originally announced that it was going to be held in Ontario, California but it was later re-announced as being held in Van Nuys, California. The reason for the change is unknown.
• Kendall's duet was originally supposed to be with Kalani but due to her back injury, Kalani had to pull out and Nia was asked to take her place the day before the competition.
• December 7: Kendall had a photoshoot with Nation A List Magazine. The photos were later featured in their January issue, with Kendall being the cover girl.
