Nicholas Ryan[8] "Nick" Dobbs is a student at the Abby Lee Dance Company. He first appeared on Dance Moms in the episode Guess Who's Back?, where he performed in the group dance "Twilight" with Maddie, Chloe, and Brooke. He later performed again in the Season 3 episode All's Fair in Love and War.

In late 2013, he left the Abby Lee Dance Company[9]. Following the airing of "Big Trouble in the Big Apple", he tweeted that he could not watch Dance Moms anymore, as it made him sad.

In late 2014, he returned[10] to attending classes at the ALDC and was soon competing again for the studio.

In the beginning of Season 5, there was a Abby audition that Nick attended. There is a bonus scene of the audition, he may be used as a cameo in the video

Nick has been seen in the background of a few episodes of Dance Moms before being predominantly featured.

  • In Guess Who's Back?, Abby brings Nick in to be in the group number because she wanted a guy to lift the girls. The dance placed first.
  • In The Recital to End All Recitals, Nick appears backstage at the 2012 Abby Lee Dance Company concert, as well as onstage during the curtain call.

  • In Wild Wild West Coast, Part 1 [Bonus Scene, major cameo] There was an Abby audition that happened. Nick Dobbs attended the audition with other people like, Brynn Rumfallo, Sarah Reasons, Payton Ackerman and so much more people. There was a bonus scene of the audition.

  • His zodiac sign is a Capricorn.
  • Nick's mom never appeared on Dance Moms as she did not want to be affiliated with the show.[11]
  • Nick has danced since at least the age of six. [12]
  • Nick used to dance at a different studio for four years before he danced at the ALDC.[12]
  • In 2012, Nick was dancing at least fourteen hours of week, but added that dance was all he did even at home.[12]
  • Nick says the biggest misconception about the people on the show is that they are really what they seem to be like on the "reality television" program, and that things get exaggerated. He also adds that the girls all love each other, and aren't brats at all.[12] (The anonymous ALDC dancer account @aldcprobz has likewise agreed that the girls are edited for television, in-line with giving them different dramatic roles.[13])
