"Return of The Rotten Apples" is the third episode of the seventh season of Dance Moms. It first aired on December 13, 2016.
Synopsis
Abby and the ALDC bring an edgy group routine, inspired by Kalani's 16th birthday, to this week's competition hoping to overtake Cathy and her Candy Apples for the second week in a row. Kendall dances a Maddie-esque solo determined to beat Nicaya.[1]

- The CADC added a new member to their team this week, Madeline Underwood. She and Brynn were pictured together last week at the competition.
- The ALDC group dance received 298 out of 300 points.
- Following the airing of the episode, Kaya Wiley took to social media to clear up rumors/allegations about the episode. The video of her explaining things can be watched here.
- During the video she explained that Kendall and Nicaya didn't even compete in the same division and that the facial expression Nicaya had after Kendall won was actually because her name got called for a special award.[3]
- September 19: Nia attended classes at EDGE Performing Arts Centre in LA.
