Lyrics[]

You and me we could have had it all
I guess I should have seen the writing on the wall
You love the city life and partying 'till dawn
You said that dinner and a movie made you yawn

First I let it go, just thinking that you and me'd be fine
Then I lost the smile I had in my glass of wine
Wasn't that long ago I was your cup of tea
Until you added sugar and it didn't come from me

You and me we could have had it all
Oh how that summer romance quickly turned to fall
The way you kissed the way you held me felt so right
I guess the time has come for us to say good night

First I let it go, just thinking that you and me'd be fine
Then I lost the smile I had in my glass of wine
Wasn't that long ago I was your cup of tea
That sugar you were getting didn't come from me

You and me we could have had it all
Oh how that summer romance quickly turned to fall
Now I know it wasn't meant to be
We could have had it all together
Have it all together
We could have had it all just you and me

We could have had it all just you and me
